Choosing your SlabDock
Which template do I need — Snug Fit or Standard Fit?
The standard SlabDock offers the most flexibility and fits PSA / CGC / BGS cards whether bare slabs, sleeved & even in a Graded Guard. The Snug Fit provides a tighther fit and crop range. Snug Fit will work with bare or sleeved slabs but not in a guard protector. When in doubt, go Standard.
What’s the difference between the No Scoop and the Scoop version?
Both hold four slabs in the same 2×2 layout and work identically for scanning. The Scoop version has a recessed finger cutout on the side of each slot — press in, tilt the slab, lift it straight out. If you’re swapping batches repeatedly, the scoop makes a real difference. The base version has clean flat walls — easy enough if you scan occasional batches or prefer the minimal look.
Which version should I get if I’m not sure?
The Standard Scoop covers the widest range of situations — it works with bare slabs and sleeved slabs, the finger scoop makes batch swapping fast. We’ve gotta say, it’s niiiiice.
Using SlabDock
Does it need any setup before I use it?
None. SlabDock ships ready to use — drop your slabs in and scan.
What scan settings should I use?
Set your scanner software to A4 document scan size. That covers the full 2 x 2 slab grid. Please note it will not scan the entire template frame. Most resellers scan at 600 DPI for listing images — high enough to show grade and surface detail clearly without producing enormous file sizes.
How many slabs can I scan at once?
Four, arranged in a 2×2 grid. Drop them in, scan, swap the batch.
Compatibility
Does it work with PSA graded slabs?
Yes. Both Snug Fit and Standard Fit are designed around standard PSA slab dimensions. Works with PSA sports and trading card slabs.
Does it work with CGC slabs?
Yes. Both Snug Fit and Standard Fit are compatible with CGC graded slabs.
Does it work with BGS slabs?
Yes. Both Snug Fit and Standard Fit are compatible with BGS graded slabs.
Will it fit my scanner?
SlabDock is designed for the Epson V550, V600, V37 and Perfection series, and works with most A4 flatbed scanners. If your scanner accepts A4 and your glass bed is at least 8.75 × 12 inches, it will fit. Not sure? Contact us before ordering.
Can I scan slabs with a Graded Guard sleeve on?
Yes — that’s exactly what the Standard Fit is for. The wider slot accepts the added thickness of a Graded Guard protector sleeve. No need to strip your slabs before scanning.
Specs & materials
What are the physical dimensions?
8.75 × 12.0 inches (222 × 305 mm), 5mm thick (just under 3⁄16 inch). Fits flat on your scanner glass with room to spare.
What material is it made from?
SlabDock is 3D-printed in matte black PLA — durable, rigid, and dimensionally stable. The matte finish eliminates light scatter along slot edges for clean scan output.

My slab doesn’t seat correctly — what should I do?
PSA and CGC slab dimensions can vary slightly between sets and grading eras. If your slab doesn’t seat correctly in either the Snug or Standard slot, contact us and we’ll work out a solution.
